It’s been 56 year in the making. But Orem High Pulled it off With the First Boys Basketball State Championship Saturday. With Olympus High Facing them It was a battle that was hard fought and well earned. It’s has been said this was the battle of the first State Championship. With Orem High 56 years and no State Title. Olympus High was 59 yeas with no State Title. Orem Student body rushed the court when the final seconds of the Game was up. Orem High beat Olympus 58-50. The Tigers Played the Game for the Orem Community and Graduates. Chad Lewis, LaVell Edwards, and Govener Herbert are few of those graduates that Orem played for. With History made. The Tigers end the season with a 24-1 reacord with the only lost by West Jordan at the GWS. 14-0 Region Record and the 4A State Title. What a Year these Tigers had.
